OSW wednesday, possible showdown...

Anyone going could be a battle of the v6s...

mild modded(stock motor internally, stock TB, sotck exhust manifolds) 3.4L 5-speed camaro driven by me

vs.

a lightly modded 3.8L a4 with 3.08s.

I have 3.42s, lsd, bald tires and a 5-speed

he has 3.08s open diffy, and tires with tread.

both motors N/A

3.4L v6, has 160hp, 200 ft. lbs. of torque stock
3.8L v6 has 200 hp, 230 ft. lbs. of torque stock

Last race I between us I ran a 15.89, vs his 16 flat, but he had a better R/T an won.

he has since added a cutout, I have done nothing since last wednesday.

If he added a cutout, but has a stock 3800 I bet he runs slower. He'll have lost alot of bottom end and no way to spin up the motor to launch well being that it's an auto w/ stock converter.

Kept his converter and moved the cutout about 2 feet behind it.. He a spacer so it is not full open/closed... It feels like it revs faster and pulls better 40-60...

hehe I'll bring some money...

and I would rather give you money then buy you food form the track, overpriced bad food is not as good as cash.

Besides I don't want to give the track anymore money then I have to with their current setup.

I was at discount auto, and almost picked up a Type R sticker, but it was $5

hmmmm what time is this going down? i have tennis class till 6:45 then i go home for dinner. earliest i could make it out is 7:30. would it be worth coming out that late? don't really feel like running b/c that would involve removing spare tire, subs, and other junk in the car. plus by then it will be packed and i'll only get like 1 or 2 runs in.

i'll try to make it out to root for a fellow 3.4L. i'd rather spare myself the embarrassment and not race you mustangeater, we both know you'll win. the fastest i've ever run was a 16.6, that was before my high flow cat and 2.75'' i-pipe.

If i could get my hands on a Z 3.42 rearend I'd probably be runnin consistent 16.0s, but the open 3.08s with 1 bald rear tire wouldnt be too consistent. Plus I have class until 8:45.

hehe don't knock it i hit a 15.9 last wed with a highflow cat, and 2.75 in. I-pipe and stock z28 muffler, I have gears you probalbe have something that flows better then a stock muffler

but when my car is in race mode its different.

I ahve been meaning to tell you that, your car isn't a slouch, but your gears are killing you.
