I used to hang out with the Fuel ***** in Orlando, and now that I'm at school here at the University of Florida in Gainesville I'm looking for another Domestic/F-Body group to hang out with on the weekends. I really don't want to drive 2 hours every saturday to hit up the Corner, so if anyone knows of any groups, or would like to get together to organize something.. please let me know.

The only thing that I know of was the wed night drag and when they have them sat drag night. Thats about all I did in gainesville. In ocala there is a small group that hangs out at Zaxbys by the mall at about 830 or so. Also on sat there is a group that hangs out where the old winn dixie used to be on sr200 (its by the chevy dealer and taco bell).

Used to hang out at Steak and Shake on 441 until the crowd got too big. Then it moved to the Best Buy on Archer Rd. I've only been back to G-ville a handful of times since graduating from UF in 2000 so I'm not exactly sure where all the "hotspots" are now.

Look up a guy on this board with the sn FlyZ28. He's a police officer in G-ville who's into the f-body/performance car scene. He should have an idea of some of the hangouts.

 

The Best Buy on Archer Road is the Gainesville American Muscle Car Club.. they got moved to another place in Gainesville, and now it is like 7 guys, and out of those guys only 3 of them have running cars at the meetings.

I'd drive down to Ocala, but I've heard that the car scene down there got small because the cops broke it up a lot. haha.. I might just end up having to drive all the way to Orlando..
