Does anyone have, or know of someone with, an altinator for a 4th gen laying around that I can take off your/their hands rather cheaply?! Mine is dead, or dieing I should say, it's really starting to get bad. Mine is the 140 amp I believe, or whatever the biggest was for '94, I believe it's 140 amp.

autozone has them for like 100 bucks IIRC, with a 12 month warranty.

just be warned, i've used that warranty 2 times now in 12 months

 

Damn! You go through more alternators, waterpumps, optis, etc. than anyone I've ever seen.

both the altinator and the waterpump were from autozone.... should tell ya something

and the opti, well, we all know about the opticrap...

 

The thing is, I really don't have $100 to spend right now.

 

The predicament you're in sucks b/c when most people get a new alternator, they turn in the old one to get the core charge.
