hey guys i ahve some questions about OSW events....

I have a few questions, on OCT. 19th they are having a midnight drag, how much does it cost to run, and what kind of cars show up? Is it hte normal 14-17 seocnd crowd, or is it domintated by super pyscho guys that run well below 14s. i thought of trying it since I am going to a autocross(mini prix) in gainesvill and will be getting back later at tnight might be fun.

Also brakcet race, woudl you guys think .5XX-.6XX R/ts and being within a tenth of my ET,, would be competitive enough to not be embarassed by the average person there? Either way I need to practice some been away form the track for awhile.

Dunday Sundays? Are they worthwhile, like not outragously over crowded and you can get runs and about how does it cost to run there.

Thanks guys, sorry to annoy ya with all the questions, but i ahve a new clutch and transmission, can't wait to start breaking it again.

I have not been to any of the Midnight Drag sessions but I heard a few peopel saying it was pretty much dominated by the import *cough* rice *cough* crowd. I would consider going but they dont give timeslips on those nights.

Never tried bracket racing so I cant help ya there.

I can say I will never, ever, ever, go to another Runday Sunday. Its a total ripoff, you get charged twice as much to make just as many (or fewer) runs as the average T&T night. To give you an idea of what its like take you average Wed or Fri night and multiply the number of cars by ~3x. I went last December and before the gates opened the line went about 1/2 a mile down 50. It took me about 45 min to get to tech, then we finally got racing around 11:30-11:45 (gates opened at 9:00 BTW). I make 2 or 3 runs and left around 4:00.

The midnight drags are a waste of a good night. Imagine the amount of slow cars on a normal TNT night and multiply it about 10 times. It seems like all the track rules go out the door at these events. If it is even possible for them to be any worse than normal. The lanes get over run with kids with loud stereos and too much attitude for their own good.

The only cool thing about them is you might get to see a hand full of good races with some of Central Florida's fastest street cars.

just my $.02

Bracket Racing (depends on the bracket - but for now let's say the slowest out there). R/T of .580 will get you 1-2 rounds then you need to be under .540 and .520's would be the target. A tenth might hold it's own for a while just depends on who you're racing and the track conditions.
