got popped for a speeding ticket again

already did drivers school, so my only option to avoid points is go to court.

the FHP guy seemed pretty nice, he said since i was in such a good mood that i should go to court and he'll tell them that i wasn't a pain in the *** and whatnot and they'll probably throw out the points.

so how often does this happen? what is the standard operating procedure for taking a ticket to court?

ticket says 74 in a 55, tagged me right there at the end of 408 when it goes into research park.

oh, and the court date is 07/01/2007 and i'm going to be out of state. what can i do about that?

edit: just was reading over this and it says i got the ticket at 2:00am ... wtf??? thats not right at all, cause its 2:00pm right now, and i got the ticket like 20 minutes ago.

wonder if the time would be a technicality. lawyer should get you out of it no prob.

called the ticket clinic, they said they don't usually throw them out on technicalities anymore, such as the time.

$90 and they money back guarantee that there are no points on the license, still gotta pay all other fees though.

are there any other traffic lawyers out there i should look into?

My first careless driving ticket stated I recieved the ticket at 10am when I was in school taking a test, I had a lawyer and he got the points thrown out so he was good but he said the time would not have an affect since it was recorded elsewhere at the correct time.

That sounds like a good price for a lawyer. And they can appear for you, so you dont have to be there. Last lawyer I got for a driving offense was $1100 and I was happy to find that.

They do not often throw out the fines, but they almost always throw out points. The time is probably not going to help you.

Wow, I always do 75-80 at that spot.

Funny, the one time I was going the speed limit there, there were two State Troopers nailing speeders right around the bend.
