whats the stock rearend geer ratio??

whats the stock rearend geer ratio??

Does anybody know what the stock rearend ratio is in a 96 SS

In a few months im putting in some 411's, will i notice a big difference?

I personally wouldn't go that low if it's a daily driver.

I would guess you have 3:42's, but only a guess.
I believe there is a chart on f-body.org somewhere
that will tell you, with your rpm's and mph.

im not worried about top end because i hardly ever go into 6th as it is now, what other disadvantages are there to really low gears.

1700rpms 3.42

2000rpms 4.10

$10 says you wont even notice the 300rpm jump

wow, it would REALLY SUCK to have to cruise at 2000rpms in 6th

how about a 95 z28 m6, and 95 transam, pretty sure they both 3.42 aswell. I heard 4.10 take some life away from your car? Are 3.7 even worth installing ?
