dont flame me for a stupid question

I know that this is a stupid qwuestion that I should know the answer to but, anyway I pulled the motor apart to get the heads reworked a new cam and to change the pistons. the motor only had about 13000 miles on the new rebiuld but I was really unhappy with the results so I was wondering if I can reuse my bearing (main and rod bearings) or if I should go ahead and buy new ones

NEW ONES! They are only like $75 for a good set of Clevite 77 bearings, or maybe some FM Pro's.

Might as well get new ones, cheap insurance.
I see you are in Ft Walton Beach. I am stationed at Hurlburt FLD right now. I am from Pensacola. Check out www.gcfba.org. That is my clubs website. What all have you done to your car?

New ones, make sure you know what size (if the crank was turned) before you order them.

Have the crank mic'ed, so you know what size bearings to get. It may need turning or polishing to get all the journals the same size.

What do the bearings look like, if they look good, all the babbit still there and no grooves worn in them, then reuse them. Very commom pratice in drag race engines.
