HEADS/CAM car is ALIVE! XE 224/230

Well, I just started it up for the first time, it still needs a lot more work, like bolting the Y pipe, OVC kit, spark plugs, coolant, fans, and few sensors etc... but other than that its done! i am excited, I didnt re route anything yet for the headers but I will, only ran it like 10 seconds for the oil to pressure to build, ONE PROBLEM

I noticed that the oil pressure gauge shot through the roof. Just imagine if the gauge was a full circle, the needle would be at like 140 psi. I think its stuck on the lay over for the cluster. What could have happened?

Your oil pressure guage sensor is located behind the intake manifold (in the back, right near the fuel pressure regulator). When we built my friends motor, his oil pressure did the same thing, we then noticed that we did not connect the oil pressure sending unit. We then connect the sensor back up and the oil pressure was reading normal again.

Hope that helps,

That is what I told him in an email.
