Changed the plug/wires now won't start
I just got done changing my plugs and wires. All that I took off was the air intake and the alternator. I put everything back on and tried to start it, but it won't start. It sounds like it is going to start, then it starts some loud bangs. I don't know what is wrong. I checked the firing order thinking maybe I put a wire on wrong or something, but it was right. I know it is hard not hearing the car to know what is wrong, but any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Did you take out the starter to get to the rear passenger side plugs? If you did you may have installed it crooked causing excessive noise/poor engagement when starting. This is just a thought, I can not think of any other reason your car will not start after a plug/wire change.
To me it sounds like you still got wires mixed up. I have replaced spark plugs in an engine and mixed them up but the engine would still run, that was just two mixed up.
You say you checked the the wires, if the car ran OK prior to the wire change and now not I would recheck the wires again.
the drivers side cyclinders are 1,3,5,7 the passenger cyclinders are 2,4,6,8 (from front to back).
the opti spark plug wire locations:
drivers side locations bottom to top 1,7,3,5
passenger side bottom to top 2, 8, 6, 4
If your wires are correct as you have said and they probably are, I would check the coil, check the opti harness, check the alt. connections, check everything around the area that you were working around when putting the wires through.
Did you gap the plugs? I am not saying that it wouldn't let your engine run unless the gap was way to apart but you should have the correct gap for optimum performance and gas mileage.

Thanks..yea I checked all the connections on everything i was messing with. I have no clue at all....i checked and double check the wires.....gapped the plugs....made sure all the wire were on.... I know that it wasn't running tip top shape before and that is why I changed the plugs and wires out. I have no clue....could I ahve knocked off some sensor or wire while doing it that would not cause the car to run. It sounds as if it wants to start, but I am not getting and combustion. This sucks!!!!! Any more ideas or suggestion would help. Thanks for the help so far!
It sure sounds like you have some plug wires routed wrong.
As much as you want to deny it, you routed your wires wrong, they are in the wrong locations. I did the same thing on the last wire install...the bang you hear is a backfire out the intake.
Check your wires and HOPE TO GOD that they are routed wrong on the drivers side because the passenger side is a total bitch to do!!

got it to start.....wires were right.....I took the wire off from the opti to the coil and put the old one on and the car started. Messed with it and it would start...then it wouldn't start up again....messed around and it would start then wouldn't start again. How do I tell if the coil before the opti is bad....or if the opti is bad???? The car hesitates totally when I floor it. there is no power from 1000-2300 rpms? What's wrong?
