LS1 injectors

my car is basically stock, except for the mods in sig, i have a chance to buy some 26lb LS1 injectors for $50, mine are leaking thats why i'm looking into buying some, i'm wondering will these injectors make my car run rich or will the computer compensate for it and just tell them to not work as hard as the stockers? I'm also gonna be doing a cam swap this year so i figure in the long run they will help anyway. whatchya think, will i run rich? can i get a mail order tune to help match them?

thanks
Steve

Your car will run leaner. The 99-00 LS1 stock injectors are rated 26 lb/hr at 4 bar (58 PSI) while the injectors in our car are running at 3 bar (43.5 PSI). The equivalent flow rating of the LS1 26 lb/hr injectors at LT1 fuel pressure is 22.5 lb/hr and the stock LT1 injectors are flowing 24.9 lb/hr.
In other words, get some low mileage/good set of stock injectors instead.

OK, thanks, but what about the tune i would need anyway with a cam swap is there some way i can have those injectors, match a set of stockers with stock FP through say... PCMforless? basically i like the price and if there is someway i can get them to work than thats what i want to do
thanks

oh and what are differences between LS1, LT1 (22+24lbers) injectors, sightwise or do they all have the flow rating # on them?

and thanks i didnt know the LS1's ran at a different PSI

I'm sorry, but I have no idea about what you're trying to say.
You can't match those injectors with stock ones through programming. One way to make them flow as the stock ones is to increase the fuel pressure and that can't be done through programming. Just get a set of stockers or some 24 lb/hr SVOs instead of making things complicated....

ok i see, they are rated at 26lbs with 58 psi, and if the LT1 injectors ran at 58 psi they would be rated much higher than 24? right? i think i gotcha, looks like those arent for me! he also has a set of 24's so i guess i'll buy those than, thanks

You can see the physical differences in this picture.
Pictured on the left is a '98 LS1 injector (which looks the same as the '99-03 ones except that the newer ones are all plastic where there's a metal part on this one) which is rated at 28.8 lb/hr, again, at 4 Bar, and on the right is a stock '95 LT1 injector which is rated at 24.9 lb/hr. None of them have the flow rating on them though.

Yes, if you increased the fuel pressure on your LT1 to 58 PSI, then they will flow 26 lb/hr.
