Fuel Lines for LT1 swap in thirdgen

Well I am getting a LT1 out of a 94 impalla and was looking at my cousins 93 w/LT1 and I was thinking that the nylon lines that run back a ways might be a easy way to route my fuel lines to mate up with the rest of my lines since it is flexible. First of all, what kind of fittings are on the end of the lines under the car and can you buy fittings that will connect to it so that I could connect those to metal fuel lines to go to my tank? If you can get these fittings could some one inform me where I could get them?

Thanks

Ben

Well, I searched for those part numbers on summitracing.com and looked through the earls section of the calalog and couldnt find them. What are they?

Oh, and by the way I am a member at thirdgen.org and have done a lot of searching about this.

They connect to your feed and return lines so you can hook up braided steel lines. you'll need some quick disconnect fittings to hook onto the LT1 type fuel rails, they sell those at most parts stores. Try calling summit at 800 230-3030 I bought mine there. Also try www.anplumbing.com

What kind of motor did you have origionally because mine was a LG4 and is now a carbed 350. I dont know that I can even use my stock fuel lines because of the higher pressure. The reason I was looking at those nylon lines is because they had the quick disconnect connectors on them where they connect to the fuel rail. I thought if I got those I could use those to get under the car and if I had to replace my line I would just put whatever connectors needed to connect to the nylon lines on the metal lines I installed. Where did you buy the braided line you used and how much was it?

I had a L98(350 TPI) I bought 10ft. of Aeroquip 6an braided line from summit and still have most of it left. All I know about carb'ed car is that you'll need a higher pressure fuel pump. If I had it to do all over again I would have bought a ZZ4 Short block,AFR Heads and a Scoggin Dickey TPI Manifold. All I done was to supply all the parts, money and a few tech articles and gave it to my friends brother who's doing all the work. The engine is in the car all wired up, just have to put the headers and exhaust and all the plumbing. I should be on the road in 3 weeks.......

Just out of curiosity what would you want for whats left of the braided line?

Why would you not use the LT1. I think it would be awsome because it will be unique and should be powerfull. What all have you done to the motor or is it mostly stock?

So why would you want to go with something else when you are this close?

How much did the swap cost you? I know it isnt real cheap, but if you got the motor pretty complete and did the work yourself I dont think it would be that much more expensive than your proposed setup. Are you having to pay much for the labor? I figure that by the time I do mine we will have already done one for my cousin so I will know some of the shortcuts and be able to have everything I need before I start.

Well, the ZZ4 short block is 1,886.50 from gm parts direct plus shipping and the AFR's should be around 1300 unless you want or more depending on what all you wanted done to them and then I think the base plate is like 400. Even with just those parts not including shipping it would be around $3586 for parts so I dont think you would have got off a lot cheaper, but thats just my opinion.
