Question Troubleshooting help needed.

Here the email I got from my dad. His is a 93 Z28.

"Brett,

Here's the situation with the car.

Prior to this morning the car has been running fine. This morning when I turned the ignition key on, the fan that helps cool the engine when it is getting hot came on immediately. I started the car and it will not idle below 2,000 rpm's (normal is 6 or 7 hundred). I have turned the engine off after driving it for a while and the fan comes on immediately and the idle stays at 2,000 when I start it again.

FYI: A month ago the computer was replaced because it was not working properly and as a result one of the injectors would never close. Since then until this morning, everything seems to have been fine. "

If this has happened to you before or you got any ideas of what might be wrong, please let me know!

What would cause that? The computer going bad? This is the 3rd computer they've had in that car in 4 months.

Sounds like the same problem as before. Maybe something is making the computer go bad. Wiring shortage somewhere maybe?
