Question SLP PP with a SPEC Disk?

Is anyone using an SLP PP with a different disk like a SPEC? I am aware that the SPEC and SLP PP's are basically the same unit with the SLP just having a few holes drilled in it. Would it be cheaper to get the SLP PP and just a disk from SPEC? Will they sell you just a disk by itself? Also if anyone is using another disk with this PP feel free to chime in. Just trying to save a few bucks and have a disk with a little more friction than the LT1 disk that comes with the SLP clutch package. One more thing, is it better to use a pilot bearing or bushing? I have see some debate on this and just wondering what the general opinion is. Thanks.

I had done a search and came across the SLP/Mcleod combo and that is what sparked my interest. But that seems to be the only time it has been mentioned. Anyone else try different combos with PP/Disks?
