It's finally come down to me building a motor as I have the funds. Just curious if anybody ran this set-up and how they liked it. Emissions suck but so do gas prices so it won't bother me going with a mild cam. Good sleeper setup.


What was your gas mileage like with a similar set-up ?

 

I have a 355 with le1 heads and lt4 hot cam, the car runs really strong if I can just get it to run; I have been having a lot of ignition problem. I would go with the cc503 or custom cam; it should pass smog with a good tune.

 

heard a lot of good things about the 503 but he recommended the emission cam as it'll get the best mpg and work well with my nitrous kit. What's your mpg ?

I'm really curious if there was even a difference between the 383 and 355. 383 doesn't have to work as hard so I'm sure the gas mileage is comparable. Power is not for sure
