rwhp estimates?

My lt1 should be back in my possession wednesday. Here's what got done. 350 lt1 block bored. 030. Crank ground turned and polished, rods line bored.speed pro forged pistons. Block was decked, heads planed, ported and polished. 1.6 skorpion rr's, ferrea valves, hardened pushrods, beehive springs?, comp lifters. Cc 306 cam. Stock intake ported and polished. Lucas 42# injectors. 700r4 with 4.10 gears and 2400-2800 stall converter. Also allthe boltons in my signature. I plan on taking the car and having it dyno tuned also. Also just bought a set of nitto nt05r dr's cant wait too test these bad boys. They look like ill be changing tires before my next oil change but id bet the farm that they will hook up.What should be a good guess as too what ill put down for rwhp? Also forgot too add 11.5 to 1 compression

A lot depends on the port job on the heads. From what I've been reading you will be disappointed with the stall you will probably want to go higher soon. Just throwing a wild guess out there but I'm thinking anywhere between 340 -375rwhp all depending on the head job

Yeah i was told a 2800-3200 minimum but i was worried about how it would drive on the street. I wont get the optimal performance from this stall but i figured i could buy a higher stall and just swap for strip use. Thanks for the input man.

Even for a DD a 2800 stall is incredibly tame. You should drive a car with a 3600- there is hardly a difference in drivability. I think you will be disappointed with the car out of the hole, even on nitrous.

As long as the stall is a lockup unit, you won't notice a difference. I went with a 3200 from performabuilt and I'm running the 306. It feels just right, although once I throw my dr's on I may be wishing for a 3600.

2800 to 3200 was also an option just having troubledeciding

Having been-there done-that (when I was bolt-on only), I can tell you to immediately go right to the 3600.

Re: rwhp estimates?

So 370 rwhp tops through a 3600 stall? Im hoping too get near the 400 range. I might run it like this for a few months then get the le3 combo. Aren't the elliot heads just stock heads ported and polished?
