Long Tubes Installed Finally.
Long Tubes Installed Finally.
Well it took me about 14 hours to put my Pacesetter long tube headers in. Although it was a pretty demanding job at now thinking about it wasnt that bad. Only broke the coolant sensor but I broke it twice. The passenger side went it through the bottom pretty easy and the driver side went it through the top..Parts that I had to remove the upper brace that runs from fender to fender not sure what the proper name is, the alternator, the starter, the dip stick, spark plug wires. I am not a skilled mechanic by any means so if any person willing to put them on themselves I say as long as you have a lift go for it..Special tools you might need well I needed them a cut off wheel, some 02 sockets and a torch to eat up the 02 sensors so you can get them off you might not need to heat them but I did on mine and they were still kinda tough to get out. I went with the bolts and gaskets that came with the long tubes and I will update later and let everybody know if they held up..I sure hope so..Thanks for all the help with out this website I probably would not have attemped to put them in and I for sure would not have had all the parts that I needed.
Re: Long Tubes Installed Finally.
We heated my o2 sensors up and finally got one out but it ended up destroying the threads on the o2 sensor. My suggestion would be to have o2 sensors ready just incase you can't get the old one's out. You can always return them
