Starting issues when cold outside

The car would do this sporadically throughout the early Fall but now that it is cold (30s) in the morning when I leave for work I'm having a hell of a time with it.

The car fires right up but within a few seconds of idling just dies. I crank it again, starts right up again...dies. This goes 2-3 times and it finally levels off and idles fine. After a couple of minutes its good to drive. I am also experiencing a high-rpm breakup once the car warms up a bit. Opti was replaced a year ago (genuine GM)...has about 6k on it.

My tune has some issues, and the car is running pretty rich. Other than that there are no real issues otherwise. No codes and I don't want to start blindly replacing parts. I also tried the search function but didn't have much luck since the keyboards "cold start" really had nothing to do with outside temp.

What "issues" does your tune have? Sounds like you should work on getting them in order first.

Rich is all, sorry if that was misleading.

If you have Datamaster or the like, you may want to monitor your IAC counts. Your IAC may be on the fritz. Do you have an aftermarket throttle body?

Might want to check your TPS voltage too.
