94 Z28 383 M6 Street Twin DFI *Now $5,000 OBO*

1994 Camaro Z28 with a 383 LT1, 6-speed, DFI, and a McLeod Street Twin Clutch. The car has about 116,500 miles, the engine has a little less than 10,000, and the transmission has about 75,000. Details are as follows:

Engine Rotating Assembly:
• Scat 9000 Crank-3.75” Stroke
• Scat 4340 Forged I-beam 6” Rods
• Wiseco Flat Top Forged Pistons, 4.030”, -5cc valve relief
• Roughly 12.0:1 Static CR

Valvetrain:
• Comp XE 236/242 Cam
• Stock Replacement Lifters
• LT4 1.6:1 Roller Rockers
• Ported Heads
• 2.00”/1.56” Manley valves
• Comp springs/retainers/locks (recommended by Comp for the cam)
• Melling Oil pump w/ Welded Pickup

Engine Management:
• Accel DFI Gen 6 Aftermarket Electronic Fuel Injection Management w/ narrow band O2 Sensor and Bank to Bank Injector Firing. Real Time Tuning w/ Engine Running.
• Wideband O2 Sensor Gauge in A-Pillar Pod (extra pod unused)
• Old Laptop Included w/ Calmap Tuning Software and Cables

Drivetrain:
• T56 Six Speed Manual Transmission (Converted from Auto)
• McLeod Street Twin Clutch and Master Cylinder Assembly
• Pro 5.0 Shifter
• 4.10 Motive Gears in the Stock Limited Slip 10-Bolt (the weak link...whines a bit)

Other Performance:
• BBK 58mm Throttle Body
• K&N Intake/Filter w/ 1LE Intake Elbow
• Accel 36# Injectors
• Meziere HD Electric Water Pump
• Jet Hot Ceramic Coated Long Tube Headers w/ for AIR/EGR (blocked off)
• Dual Cutouts
• No Catalytic Converters
• Flowmaster 3” Exhaust
• Poly Motor Mounts
• MSD Ignition Box
• BMR Driveshaft Safety Loop
• Hotchkis Rear Control Arms/Panhard Bar

General:
• 18”x9.5”Zenetti Vega Wheels
• 275/40ZR18 Falken GRBeta Tires (Plenty of Tread Left but Several Years Old)
• Viper Alarm System
• Tinted Windows
• Alpine CD Player
• Will Also Include a Car Cover and any random stock parts I may still have laying around (wheels for Drag Radials, exhaust manifolds, stock muffler, stock TB, Power Window Motor, etc.)

The car previously ran a 12.04@117mph when I was still dialing in the tune on the stock PCM. The car always had a slight miss on the top end with the stock PCM that has been solved with the DFI, but I have not been back to the track since. I’d guess it’s easily an 11 second car now (on slicks).

In the interest of full disclosure, the car will not pass emissions in its current form, there is a crack in the front bumper, some spidering/cracking in the paint on the front bumper and hood (pics included), and the front CD/Tape holder section of the center console is missing. The car runs and drives and both the stock PCM and the DFI setup are operational, though it could definitely use some more tuning (both drivability and dyno) and I haven’t figured out how to get the PCM to control the AC yet (all AC components are installed and previously operational). The car could also use some suspension work in the form of new shocks, bushings, etc.

NOW $5,000 OBO. This would be a great car for someone that has the time and knowledge to get the tune dialed in, which is something I’ve never accomplished to the degree I would have liked.

Please Email or Call (480)203-4090.

Thanks, Eric. It's been fun, but it's time to move on. Hopefully someone else will enjoy it as much as I have. I'm amazed at how cheap these cars are these days.

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, it's still available.

Sort of a funny story. I just had a couple guys come look at it. On the phone they had told me that they were looking for something to enter into a race on the TV show Pinks. So we go over the details and they drive three hours to get here and then the one guy says that he's looking for something for his wife to drive and he doesn't understand computers. I could've saved them about 7 hours of their life (and some of mine) if they had told me that up front, lol!

Seriously though, if you know a little about these cars and tuning, this seems like a pretty decent deal...feel free to start making offers.

Hi, what would i need to do to get this car to pass emmissions? I was looking at buying an 80 camaro and building a 350 but this would be about the same price but saves me all the work.

If the stock catback exhaust was installed would it be fine? Whats the insurance like on a stroked motor?

Berlinetta, to answer your question, it would probably take a lot more than anybody is willing to do to get this thing to pass emissions. Even if you were to reinstall the cat, air pump, egr valve and rewire the stock pcm to control the egr valve, you'd still have a large cam that would be very difficult, if not impossible, to get to pass anyway. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but if emissions are important to you I'd recommend another car.

I'm willing to listen to offers. I'd really like to move this thing.
