no start, wiggle opti harness car clicks?????

I went to this site http://www.mainstreamtopics.com/foru...p?showtopic=78 and did all of the spark related ?s and it lead me to buying a new opti ( Answered the ?s and after all the yes and no, ended up being a bad opti ).
Anyway, after installing the new opti, it still wont start. But I noticed that if I messed with the opti connection above the passenger valve cover that there would be some type of click ( no idea where it is coming from, sounds like near the waterpump ) anyway, if I unplug it - it clicks.
Does this mean the harness is bad?
Car has been down for a month now, would be great to get it running!

Guess it wasnt the harness, bought one from GM. No diff, and still does the same click when I unplug it.
I am stumped, 4-5 months ago the coil went and I replaced the coil and ICM, now I just put a new a Gm opti and harness. still no start.

The car was running fine, mind you it did have a lil miss, but started fine everytime. Then one day I go get gas, shut the car off, go to leave and it wont start

When you turn the key do you get power to everything, it just won't start? Is your security light on? It should blink and then go off. If it stays on then you have a VATS issue and should check your key and wires going to the lock cylinder.

Yes everything has power. Will check the security light next time I go out there. Damn rain is holding me back from working on the car, ggggrrrrr.
So KOEO, the light should blink and go off.
Lock cylinder????????

Nope, just hear the starter.
With the noid light on the injector clip, about 3 seconds it has a very faint flash while cranking.
I am stumped and I'm moving in 7 days, I have to get this car running.

On shbox site, I went to the PCM pinout page and looked for all grounds and positive feed going into the PCM. Not sure if I was even doing anything worth a damn, but all + and - were working normal.

Im stumped!
Oh I also just pulled the fuel rail off and had my gf try starting the car. There was a small droplet every 3 seconds or so.

so your engine does turn over? Just does not fire, and you pulled a fuel rail with the injectors and only get a drop? If I am reading it right, it should flat out spray out of the injector.. should not be a drop. have you checked the Fuel Preassure at all? maybe it is not getting enough fuel.

Yea I agree, check your fuel pressure. Im guessing either fuel pump or super clogged filter.

that is possible.. one thing to note though, if you were getting a drip every 3 seconds from an injector that means you will probably have to replace an injector or whatnot, since they should not leak.

Looks like my kid posted something above.
Few things to take into consideration here.

With a noid light on the injector, it has very weak flash every 3 or so seconds apart.
With the fuel rail lifted while starting the car, it is trying to spray just very weak. No fuel comes out of the injectors or the rail unless your trying to start the car.
With a voltmeter only 1 thing I checked did not give the right reading, or should I say reading at all. B14 "distributor ignition feed" is supposed to show 12 volts, there is nothing there. With one lead on the pinout of B14 and the other on the opti harness of the wire, there is no continuity!
I believe this could be my problem, any insight on this?

Next thing I tried was manually spinning the optical sensor with the noid light on the injector. With everything out of the way and the opti still completely hooked up just not attached to the cam, I had someone try starting the car while I spun the opti by hand and the noid light flashed bright like it is supposed to. Can someone explain that?
By chance is the cam dowel not in the opti? How do I go about checking that? Could it just not reach it anymore?

Not sure what to look into next, really dont want to take it to a stealership.
thanks in advance

One more thing. When I was manually spinning the opti, you could clearly here the injectors opening and spraying.
