3800 spark plug help

My friend brought me his 3800 1999 camaro to do a spark plug change. The car was boiling when it got here so i was able to take a quick peek at the spark plugs and the rear plugs seem to have a bracket around them. I need it done tomorow but havnt touched the bracket yet to see if it moves out of the way or what. If anyone can help me out with the braket situation that would be great. Im trying to find out now so tomorow i can jump right on it and do the change.

Does anyone know anything i should be aware of computer wise or w/e?

as far as i know there shouldn't be any computer issues to look for. The brackets should come off as far as i know as well. at least they do on my 96. Now the tricky part is getting to the spark plugs. I ended up having to come in from underneath on mine as well. that was interesting to say the least

Well I know where and how to reach the plugs but how do I get the one with the bracket covering it, off? Its the two ones in the back...they have that piece of crap header protection around them.

If you have headers, getting to the spark plugs is much easier. I know that when I had the stock manifolds, it would be a pain. With the pacesetters, the plugs are right there...piece of cake.

And yes, a little bit of anti-seize goes a long way the next time you have to pull the plugs.

not exactly sure what bracket you are talking about. I have changed the plugs on my fiance's 98 with the 3.8 before. I done them all from the bottom. It made it alot easier. I did however make the mistake of putting autolites in it. Never again. Started it up and it had a miss. Changed to ac delco and ran perfect. The second time around I could change them in about 30 minutes.
