Question fuel filter/spark plug wires

i just got a new spark plug wire set & a new fuel filter , im wondering if there is any precautions I should attend to before i take out the old fuel filter.(like is there going to be a constant fuel leak or jus a little)...any help??

pull the fuse for the fuel pump, start the car when it runs out of gas you will have very little fuel pressure. not to much should spill than but, some will.

so i just replaced all the spark plug wires and the fuel filter, and still not starting....is it possible it could be a crankshaft sensor that is not allowing it to start...?

well since no-one replied i got anxious and bought a new crankshaft sensor on rock auto so im jus waiting for it in the mail....but the only thing is ,i have no idea where its located for the 2000 v6 camaro,,..my chilton book doesnt even show me at all.. please i need help severly with this one,....im feeling pretty helpless ....did alot of work and still not starting...no start makes levi go crazy...!
