I think I have an exhaust leak... and a ticking injector...
Ok so I am still getting the random fun noises. The Oil pressure seems to be good I have not replaced the sensor yet to see if it is cracked I cleaned the underside of the car with a high pressure washer and I am waiting to see where the fluids collect.
However the car has what everyone else agrees to be an exhaust leak which seems to be on the passenger side. I also still seem to have an injector that gets noisy...
I just want to see if anyone else has experienced this. The noise shows up right when you start the car then its gone. Then while driving it shows its present but not as loud most of the time...
The exhaust is of course lower tones but not like a rod knock. The tick is a higher in the manifold area and using a scope seems to be coming from the #4 injector because when i put it on there I get a good strong loud tick but right next to it and around it its much quieter. I checked the VC's as well. I can not reach the harness to unplug it unfortunately though.... not easily anyway.
I just want to be sure I am not getting ready for motor problems since it seems everyone talks about the bearings in these being bad... and frankly the car has low miles but I want it to be safe for my wife.
Thanks for any thoughts!

I dont have a ton of experience with the 3.8s in these cars, so I dont know all the little tricks for them. The noisey injector, will either end up sticking open or shut, giving you a dead cylinder or over fueling that cylinder. As long as it isnt driven far like that, it wont hurt it. Get a volt meter, and unplug it, and make sure its getting power to it consistantly. Might also try swapping it with one on the other side of the engine and make sure the noise follows the injector. If its definately that injector and if you have the money, go ahead and replace it, or you could try to find one at a local salvage yard.
As far as your exhaust leak, call some muffler shops and see if any will diagnose it free or cheap, if you cant find it yourself, or dont have ramps or jackstands where you can get under it and listen for it.

Just read your other post, I would definately get that sensor replaced and keep an eye on things. If the ticking is directly related to the oil pressure drop though, Id be changing the oil pump very soon, so as not to damage anything further.
