I wouldn't want 4.10's on the street. When my car was an A4 I would be doing about 2500 RPM at 70 mph with 3.73's.

Research which brand before you buy. Go with spacers instead of crush sleaves. JMHO

I have OEM 410s on my M6. Runs around 2100 RPM at 70 in 6th.

I have a moser 12 bolt with 3.73s in my A4....seems to be nice. I wouldnt go higher on a A4 unless u strickly track it bc doing freeway speeds around 110-120 KPH it sits around 2800RPM.

I've been running 4:10 for 12yrs in my A4 and yes I also had 3:73 until I broke them and i couldn't wait to break them to get back to my 4:10's. I only drive it when I want to play but even on a trip with overdrive it was ok. The OD makes 4:10's easy to deal with and with a good set of drag radials, look out. That is all it takes for a street race to be to your advantage. On the street chances of running the full 1/4 are slim, but the next red light with you hookin and them not is in your favor. The seat of your pants launch is worth it. If your makin a ton of power you probally don't need them, your set up is a factor, but with bolt on's, it's a good combo. That's my $0.02

If it's bothering you that much, just send them my way.
And to the OP, just go with the 3.73s.

With a 26 inch tall tire, 3.73 or 3.42

28 inch tall tire 4.10

Be careful the 4.10 in the stock rear break pretty easy, the pinion is SMALL!
