I was told that buying after market hydra lifters was a waste of $$ since our cars come factory with them. But when its time to replace them what u suppose to do buy the factory ones again lol!! Any opinions please would help, thanks

 

alot of people use stock ones... i personally picked up some LS7s

 

You have to understand there are extremely few manufacturers of many automotive parts. I think there are only two actual manufacturers for lifters. If you buy the basic Comp or Crane ones chances are you are getting a stock lifter. Not that that is bad as the stock lifters are good, but so good they generally do not need replacing.
