alright well after install my cam i went to put the oil pump drive back into the hole and something dosent seem quite right.

the part of the pump with the hole in it, which the bolt passes through to thread into the block has a space between it, and the block itself. maybe about 1/2 an inch or so. it seems like the two should mate against each other right?i do not remember what it looked like when i took it off. anyone know anything about this? do i maybe have to turn the cam over a few times to get the teeth to mesh completely? or is there suposed to be a space.

yep you can either mess with the piece itself to get it seated or i guess you could turn the motor. Ive always just messed w/ it b/c ive never thought about turning the motor over.
