Cam and lifter replacement parts on a budget

So i am pretty sure i have some lifter problems. When my buddy was helping to adjust the rockers upon loosening one on #6 it kicked the rocker arm off to the side and made a heck of a ting noise. First thought was oh crap there goes a push rod but after checking it was still good. oil is still being pushed up to th erocker though which was odd because if the lifter was stuck then it shouldnt push up oil, right? #6 also has a missing issue because after 50 miles on the plug it was already completely blackened where as the other plugs looked just fine. I really dont think the miss is ign related because the icm, coil, opti, plugs, and wires have all been changed within the last few days. As well as new headers(pacesetter LTs) and ory and O2s just went on thanks to an exhaust leak.

Thanks to all the money that went out the window with those parts i am extremely budget minded. After doing some searching it appears LS lifters work in the LTs and see to be pretty decently priced. Are they any cheaper than some other options i have as far as lifters go? what are some good options for lifters (keep in mind very budget oriented here)While i am there i might as well put in a cam too justand want to go with the hotcam kit to freshen up some of the valvetrain. the best price i have found so far is 549 from jegs. Does anyone know of any cheaper places to pick this kit up at. Or is there a better option with a cheaper price i should look in to?

This car is my daily driver so i want it very streetable but a little extra in there thanks to a hotcam wont kill me too much i dont suspect. thanks in advance for any info advice it is much appreciated.

I've heard you can buy the LS7 lifters for ~$100.

Ls7 lifters are good. I would go with a cc503 or cc305 cam. You could do a search on this sight and get the cam cheaper.
