opti died.. timing cover seal around opti drive pin is not tight... normal or no?

opti died.. timing cover seal around opti drive pin is not tight... normal or no?
My opti died and after i disassembled everything i found that the water pump seal is good however the seal around the opti drive pin is not snug around the pin? Is this normal. Looks like oil could come out here very easily....
