troubleshooting miss

Trying to figure out were to start to find this miss. What the car does is breaks up around 5700 and also sometimes if I'm crusing in 6th around 2500 and go wot it hesitates very badly. It sounds to me like a fuel problem. What do you all think?

Are you getting any SES lights? Has the car had a tuneup lately? It probably wouldn't hurt to get the car scanned and see if you are getting specific cylinder misfires. Also, if you think it is a fuel problem, might want to put a fuel pressure gauge on it and verify that you have good fuel pressure.

No ses light.I just did new plugs and the wires are fairly new and still look good. The car does have a msd box and msd coil you think this could be the problem? should I take the msd box out of the car and see if that eliminate the miss?

You could always just unplug the box and plug the factory harness back into the coil and see if the problem persists. If you have a spare coil lying around, swapping that out wouldn't hurt either.
