Talking A.I. heads/cam update: 438.24rwhp

Woop Woop! Firebirding season is upon us! I went to Hi Tech Motorsporst today to do a little tuning on my girlfriend... (the bird) The results were great!

438.24rwhp and 431.73rwtq

I want to thank Chris from the bottom of my heart, cuz without him this would not have happened!! THANK YOU CHRIS!!

Of course, this is me we are talking about, and my car died on the dyno. Not just killed, but became dead in the water. Stupid bad luck!

I got 6 pulls in.. and everything was going nicely. We got the final tune that we thought would be good, and we were loading it in for the "money pull." You know, the perfect tune pull... we cooled down the motor, and were ready to see what that bitch could do!

Well, soon into the programming of the pcm, the battery died on the car. So, needless to say, you cant just stop loading a program into the car in the middle of it, cuz it locks the bitch up. !(#$&%^@#*#

So, we had to push it off the dyno and I cried.

Turns out Casey, the dyno operator, had a pcm for a 95 Impala at his house.. so after work he went home and just gave it to me. What nice people Bart employs there at Hi Tech!

So Chris graciously followed him home and picked it up. We put it in my car, and flashed it with my program, and I drove her home! I drove like a dick too, cuz the car felt absolutely wonderful! It pulled hard, and fast! I raced lots of cars, all of which had no chance in hell at beating me, but I felt unstoppable, and they were eggin me on!!

So, once Chris and I finish the tune, my baby should be over the 440rwhp hump with ease!

So, that is my happy friday story.

Doug Rippie motorsports is havin another dyno day, so Im gonna correct some things and hit his dyno too to see if I can get over that 440 mark.

Wish me luck!!

What did you change from your 422/420rwhp pull?

Im impressed speed demon that you remembered the last years results!!
I installed the AS&M 58mm throttle body, and fattened her up. She was running really lean, unbenounced to me. Also, played with the timing tables, as they were really messed up! Its close now, just have to get rid of the 1-2 degrees of knock retard up top and I should eclipse the 440 mark!

Very nice.

You might want to learn some restraint before you kill someone or yourself with all that newfound power. That's a lot of car you have now.

Thanks guys!! Im pumped! I cant wait for the 21st, cuz my local club is havin another dyno day, so I am goin for the money pull! ;o)
Dyno numbers dont mean crap to me, I like driveability first! And, my car does just that... so I am very happy with my choices thus far.

I am going to England for the summer, so when I get back Im gettin the dana 60 and the mcleod street twin clutch, then I will be gettin some track numbers.

And I have had this car for three years, I know how to drive it!
Most of the time I drive nice, until I get that tickle in the bottom of me tummy, and I need to feel that raw acceleration! haha

Thanks Tireburnin! I am very happy I went with Advanced Inductions, and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Everything they have said has come true, no BS of anykind. They told me that I should be excited with the 420rwhp I had at first, but I knew she had more in her. When I bought the package over a year ago I was gunnin for 440rwhp, and Im so close now I can smell it! I will say this, during the winter life sucked driving my bonneville... but now that I have the bird out again there is a permanant smile upon my face! Man, its good to be behind the wheel of that street monster again!
