went to the track.....

I dont know whats wrong... Mods are in sig.

I know I didnt hook very well on the first one, the second I didnt hook to well either but here are the results. Also, I have video which ill try to get up eventually
Run 1

R/t .619
60' 2.312
330 6.000
1/8 9.005
MPH 81.55
1000 .000
1/4 13.779
MPH 103.89

Run 2
R/T .773
60' 2.155
330 5.860
1/8 8.865
mph 81.38
1000 .000
1/4 13.68
mph 103.53

And the previous owner gave me his old slip this does not include any suspension mods, torque converter, and rockers which are all things I did

R/T .262
60' 1.915
330 5.499
1/8 8.516
mph 80.84
1000 11.118
1/4 13.293
mph 103.84

Driving down to Atco my SES light came on for a while and the kid behind me said he saw a little smoke when i got on it. The light went away tho and wasnt present the entire time I was at the track or the ride home. Im gonna get it scanned as soon as I can but Autozone doesnt do OBD1 and my neighbor isnt home right now

im going to say that stickier tires would help out quite a bit. thats probably how he got such a better time, especially with his 60'.

Looks good to me. Wouldn't bother comparing his with yours. Looks like good MPH and the ETs not bad considering hook up.JMHO

how far do you think the drag radials would bring it down?

my friend raced his camaro that has an exhaust, intake, and edelbrock throttle body and ran a 13.7 at 103..

I got longtubes, gears, 1.6 Rockers, tuneed. I figured that would net some gain over his time wouldnt it?

he was dead hooking tho.

There are lots of variables here. Where did he make that good run? Was the track hooking that much better or did he drive it better? What was the air like? Was the altitude the same? What kind of tires? What kind of gas? Maybe you're running into knock and he wasn't.

I've seen cars with suspension parts turn worse 60' than they did stock. Also remember the car was newer(less miles) when he ran it. Maybe he shifted higher/lower.

The mph is similar which means, if most of the other variables were similar too, that you didn't do much to increase the hp. When I put rockers on mine, I picked up 4 mph in the 1/4. I've also heard that people see no gains from rockers. Everything situation is unique.

If I were you, I'd get it scanned like you said, make sure nothing is wrong, and practice your 60'. Regardless of your mph, dropping that will net big results in the 1/4.

DRs will help out alot. If you can get your car to 60' I'm sure that you could be in the 12s. But a 2.3 and a 2.1 60' aren't very good, order some drag radials and then go back and see what it will do.

13.7 @ 103 isn't dead hooking. My car went 13.5xx @ 100-101.xx all day back in HS, and that wasn't dead hooking.

Throw some drag radials on and you will see a nice decrease in your times. I see you have 3.73's, that plus your current mods and dr's you should be able to get some 1.8xx 60's out of the car. To give you an idea of what kind of times you will drop theoretically a .1 drop in the 60 translates to a .2 drop in the 1/4.

And that theory works good with my car, example here are 2 time slips from the same day:

60'.....2.310....2.060
330....6.062....5.600
1/8.....8.983....8.438
MPH....84.88....86.77
1000...11.484...10.894
1/4.....13.586...12.964
MPH....107.95...109.44

I am in the same boat as you, and after having a poor 60 foot time i picked up a used set of drag radials. Can't wait to try them out.

Track conditions may play a part in it, but I'm sure traction is going to be the issue here going off your sixty foot times.

definitely in the launch. get some stickier tires and get those 60's down to about 1.8 - 1.7 and you will get a low 13 out of it.

I agree, all in the 60'... DR's should work with what you've got done to the car and your 2800 stall, although you might be better off picking up a spare pair of 16" wheels and putting some ET Streets on them for the track...

on another note i discovered two of my spark plugs were loose today. That might have something to do with the SES light

you need a tire....no point in expecting a number without a tire
