don't expect alot from it...it more of a system, and everything has to work together

with your listed mods...I would guess .05 to .10 off your 60'...maybe better, with the right tire

There was an article in an old GMHTP where they they had a normal intake/catback LT1 that they swapped a 2800 stall on and 3.42 gears and it knocked quite a bit off there times. I believe they said each one was around .25 or .3 in the quarter mile. I think there original gears were the 2.93 or whatever.
So...I would say you could look at a .15 or possibly a .2 if everything goes perfect.

Going from 3.23's to 3.89 gave me .26 in the quarter. My most dramatic et improvements were in the torque converter.

I don't have a baseline 1/4 yet I'll be hopefully hitting the track for a before and after of the gears later in the spring/summer. Track is kind of a drive and has horrible hours for those that work 9-5 mon-fri :/

i think there are plenty of rebuilt stockers that work just fine. is it because some of us dont pay for a name like vigilante that means it wont work as good?? maybe if i did the install my self than its also not as good as paying a shop to do it?? come on man. my rebuilt stocker worked exactly as advertised.

go 3:42's... i had 3:73's...
3:73 gears are weaker... thus the reason i broke them. and i didn't notice any difference with the 3:42's...

Z-Rated94 is absolutely right here. It really sucks but when it comes to torque converters, you get what you pay for and that's a fact. I wouldn't have believed it until I experienced it for myself.

with what...

did you have 2:73's?

cuz it looks like you took off .4 with this "Prior to the heads/cam/LT's/3.73's the car went 12.1 @ 116 w/an okay trans."

No... The car ran 13.6 consistant best of 13.5 on motor with 3.23's then a consistant 13.2 on motor with 3.73's.
