Anyone know what the fastest LT1 in the world runs?

I was just wondering what the fastest LT1 in the world is, and what that time is, no matter what's on the car as long as it is an LT1. And Id like to know specs etc.

I think people have been low 9's....I think one in the 8's but they get to the point where the block isn't strong enough and start having core shift.....

8.08..big rick.

There are no after market lt1 blocks. You could have a little M or something machined to make it a "lt1"..but at that point why.

We just have to face it..we never have..and never will get the support the ls1 is receiving so we are sock with factory blocks..or convert to SBC.

Sorry but there are like 2 aftermarket blocks, I forgot where I seen them but no many people have them and they are pretty strong. Sorry but the LT1 block is strong and if you add everything you need it will be just as fast as any LS1.

Can you please find out who makes the aftermarket block, i'm interested in one...i had no clue anyone made one and I have searched hi and low

A LT1 will not be as fast as an LS motor if you want the fastest in the world.....there are more than a few LS motors in the 7's that I have seen. Now the new block with 500+ c.i.d and the bad *** heads they have. Sorry but LT1 won't do it. Unless you get one of these aftermarket blocks, put a big block head on it...but then its not a LT1 anymore

Fastest NAis Joe O, cant recall what he runs exactly, some thing to the effect of a bottom 9. The Donovan LT1 Block was a converted block, not any thing made specific to the LT1. Ricks car kinda proved you can go really far with the stock iron block, sure Chris is just gonna push the envelope further. Theres no real point in an after market LT1 block, cant see where the demand would be from.
