MSD Opti timing adjustment

I am looking at the MSD replacement opti and notice a feature is timing adjustment via a set screw.

Can adjustment be made with the opti installed?

Can it be set, marked and locked in place?

The adjustment can be done after install. I just needed a very long extension and a flashlight since it is almost out of sight. They recommend making a mark before hand.
