Friday Mission Drags?

Hey all,

It looks like I will finally be able to run my T56 Impala down the strip this year with tires that should hold. I am planning to go Friday the 30th. Anybody else planning to be there?

Not looking good. Rain expected to roll in on Thursday and stick around for the weekend. I am still holding out hope but it is shrinking. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! If I do not make this Friday because of the weather, then I will shoot for the last race of the year...... Oct 7th.

Good luck to all,
TOM B

Shoot all you want Tom but Oct 7th has already been dropped from the schedule.
It's the 30th or nothing

Re: Friday Mission Drags?

Still a work in progress. As you likely know I have ditched the C6 Z51 rears for the Baer two piece. The 996 TT brembos stay.
The fronts are up in the air
I am staying with the 993 "Big Reds" but am likely not using my C6 rotors.
Same reason as the rear. The idea of directional rotors turning backwards is stupid to me. No one can explain why, other than cost cutting, GM would pull such a stunt. The 06 Z06 is apparently the same way.
So the front rotors are up in the air. I will either be making some hats or looking at SRT8 rotors. No dealer has one local yet so I will likely wait.

Re: Friday Mission Drags?

I looked on thier webpage and test-n-tune is off, but tonights race is still on. I am leaving now in hopes the weather will hold. This is my last chance and if I do not try, I will kick myself all winter. If nothing else, me and the wife will go to the movies and eat some pizza. Kind of a long way to go for "Date Night" but at least gas is cheap... cough... cough....

We plan to be there,
TOM B
