rev limiter

rev limiter

Im getting ready to send my comp out to ion and want to know what you guys think is a safe rpm to reset the limiter at. right now the car has:
gm847 cam
k-motion k-800 springs
cloyes roller
longtubes
loudmouth
150 shot

I'm sure that ion knows his stuff and he will set the rev limiter right knowing what cam and other stuff. Anyway it wouldn't be far from 6500-6700.

Are you running an aftermarket ignition box that has a rev limiter? If not then Ion should be able to make a good reccomendation.
I run an Accel 300+ and it handles my rev limiter, I just had the stock limiter raised to 7k or so and set the accel box at 6250. I much prefer the aftermarket rev limiter to the stock one. Something to think about for future reference.
