Will a 93-96 radiator fit in a 97 without any modifications?

Will a 93-96 radiator fit in a 97 without any modifications?
I have a 97 Z28, and I just road raced my car this weekend and it overheated after 2 laps. I know the 93-96 radiators have a 1.375" core, and 97's (mine) only have a 1.0" core. Are the 93-96 radiators alot better than the 97's? And will they fit into a 97 without any modifications at all?
