Re: How Can You Spot A V6 From A Z28?
Just figured I'd check out the V-6 Room
Stock?? Sound -tone-.......
depending on year, # of tail pipes...1 vs 2...some 6's have 1
depending on owner (idiot)...scratches where the Z28 badging used to be...no badging..

rear drums are a dead give away that its a V6
ive been told that no V6 t-top camaros had black roof panels (besides black camaros) (although some Z28 cars apparently had the colored roofs??)
badges
exhaust tips
no Z's had hubcaps
sound
othen than that they are the same to my knowledge

93-94 v6's say camaro on the front fender
on sticks shifts it'll have the six speed pattern on the console for a z... 5 speed pattern for a 6
z have the 150 mph speedo, v6 is 115(some early z's have the 115)
some v6's have black mirrors but body colored roofs

Re: How Can You Spot A V6 From A Z28?
I have a 97 V-6 camaro and aside from the z-28 badges you couldn't tell it's not a z-28, it came with 4 wheel disc brakes, dual outlet tailpipes with the rectagular tips, 245 55r 16 tires with chrome wheels. but you guys are right the speedometer is a dead giveaway mine goes to 125 and the z-28 is much highter ... heres another giveaway all v-6's Ive seen have a button that says SGS second gear startup, but on the z-28's it says something different.
