$2000.00- $4000.00 depending on condition and options,I have 160,000 miles on my V6 and it still runs strong.

As for MPG the V6 is about twice the mpg of the LT1 and it runs on regular

I used about 2 tanks a week with the V8,I use 1 with the V6.

My '95 3.4L is at 164k miles, one previous owner who was a 60 year old man who used it as his daily driver. It still runs very strong, and gets good gas milage.

Mine's got 98k... I've put 6k miles on it and only thing that has gone wrong is crank position sensor.

16-20, city.

Are you nuts? Twice the mileage would be ~55 MPG hwy and 30 city. The Lt1's arent the gas hogs people make them out to be. In response to your question, 28 K is LOW. I would give 4,500 for it, but that is GOOD shape. and your looking at about 26-28 MPG on the highway.

I was joking, see the razz at the end of my sentence.LOL

I drive the V8 very different than the V6.

On the Highway I rarely get below 70mph in the LT1,with the V6 I am rarely over 70mph.
A lot of LT1 powered cars are selling in the $4500.00 usd range.

I paid 5 K for my 94 3.4 L. It has 105,xxx miles on it. It runs great and is in good condition. I feel kinda sick tho b/c i paid a lot for that many miles. If the car your talkin bout has 28,xxx i would ****** that up immediately. I wouldnt pay no more than 5k on a v6 tho, b/c you can get a descent Z for 6-7k.

Thanks guys... they are asking $5400 for it...$476 taxex and $175plates etc....that would bring the car up to>>>>>$6051.....i drove the car and i have to tell ya wow....peels out from dead stop.... i dont know what to do....car has only been driven 2800 a year .. female driver probably never drove it in winter....so stored for thw winter months in a unheated garage...fluids get air in them,,,forms bubbles when started...probably ruin some seals.....crank sitting on the bearings for months at a time...that hirts the crank bearing...!!!!!!! im still pondering about this.... if they will go down $600 i will take it... if not ill keep shoppong around...

Re: 1995 3.4L 28k miles.. need help POSSABLE BUYER

with that few miles i would be worried about it more than if it had 100,000 more , cars that sit for long times as you said get air in the system, but even worse the rings and valve seals will get dried out from lack of use and its very likely that if it sees a considerable ammount of driving in the future with some heavy acceleration it will get burn a lot of oil

however that is a redicilous ammount of money for that car, the 3.4L and 3.8L are both very well built motors, they can run 200,000 miles with minimal troubles.... you can find one with more miles for less money easily and still not worry about fixing it for a long time

i bought my 93 3.4L almost 6 years ago with 86 on the clock for $6,xxx., its now got 136ish on the odometer and rund better than it did when i got it

also , when i first got my car it was getting 15 or so MPG, now that ive modded it it gets damn near 25 in the city and its not uncommon to get over 30 on the highway

I'd pass and keep looking... I am sure you could get a newer car like a 96-99 3.8L v6... with like 40-80k for ~$6k.

the 98+ might be stripped down...but worth checking, btw, I too woudl be more worried that the car is gonna have more problems form so few miles then from having like 100k.

6000 grand is a good deal for 28K miles if its in good condition. Motor still strong at 28k, thing will run forever. I bought mine for 4000 straight cash at 95,000 from a private seller. There advertisement said 4,500 (obo)
