They don't make filters for the SS. Something about dirt getting past the filter or some crap. I am sure you can find one that will fit though, but it won't be specifically for the SS....

K&N does not make a filter for our cars....i hear they didnt have enough to test and that they thought the slp CAIs were crap anyway...the one they make for the jeep will fit btu its not specifically for our cars so i wouldnt trust it ......Holley makes one as someones says but its blue and the color scheme i have going under the hood is not blue and the regualr filter for our cars works fine enough......autozone carries the regular filters
if u heard about the GM TSB about reuseable filters u might change ur mind.,......
anyways alls ur looking at is 1 hp to the wheels pending on settup maybe youll get lucky and get 5 who knows

going from a normal flat one to a cone filter will give you an increase, but just switching flat fiters will do almost nothing... just get a cold air intake or be happy with the ram air. BTW, its just an air filter.. any gains you get are going to be very minmal no matter what you do.

Get the Holley Powershot 221-5; its much better than a stock paper filter and if you don't like the blue you can use the K&N red; it's the same type of oil......

Cool thanks for the info... Hey 97ss497 do you have any track times on your car when it was stock or now.. I am just curious how a stock ss runs in a quarter mile....

Thanks Chris

thank you \
do a search there are many resoning y u should and shouldnt geta K&N or reuseable fiters......

yes im sorry but i am very **** when it comes to showing off my car and differet colors...blue would be out of place in my engine bay...sorry if u think thats wierd thats ur opinion....

and its proven that he stocker will flow just as much and if anything ull get a possible 1 hp difference especially on stock cars......wate of money to me considering the things the oil does to ur throttle body/maf etc....

im done b/c im not trying to pick a fight
