Sold!

Well the camaro is no longer mine. So if you see someone else driving it dont call the cops . Saw the guy out driving it tonight on my way home. He looked pretty happy. I feel a little remorse, but not much .

Congrats on finally selling you car. I know I was sad for a while when I sold my old truck but I know it was for the better and now I have my Camaro. I know you will miss it.

LOL Chriss, ya ya, Ill buy . Since the camaro was always a daily driver I guess the replacement is an origional 70 C10. The next toy though, will be based on a cheetah

Buy the body and build the rest. I have to sort some things out before I get going on that. Mainly a place to work on it. Hopefully sometime this year I will be able to get going on it. Cant wait.

I've heard about those Cheetah's..........is it true they have no driveshaft? Goes straight from the tranny into the rear?

Ya, there was no driveshaft. M21 tranny and the yoke was bolted right to the pinion flange. I will run the shortest DS possible to reduce the forces on the trans case and also move the engine forward a touch to get better weight balance. Also get a little more leg room too . The cars were wild, they were 1750lbs wet with 520hp Making them even scarier was the 90" wheelbase and the fact that the frames were too weak and flexed. That is what made them so hard to drive. I intend to stiffen the frame up (space frame) and expect approx 2300lbs wet with whatever hp this 377ci makes. A T56 and a dana 44 or dana 40 will be the rest of the driveline. Even If I screw up the handling of the car the accell/braking should be enough to scare the hell out of me. If not I have plenty of potential left in this engine.

I already got my choice of 2 trucks to drive. One of them has got to go. Besides, I have some pride. Wont catch me owning a POS fwd . I got $3100 for it which is about what I expected +/- $100. Seems about right.
