play off predictions

im picking calgary over vancouver based purely on calgarys goaltending.

im picking dallas over colorado based on the many returning players on dallas, the colapse of colorado and lack of goaltending experience in abiesher, and dallas has better goaltending.

im picking san jose over st. louis.

and im picking nashville to upset detroit because i feel vokoun is capable of stealing a series.

the eastern conference i dont really look into too much but ill quickly pick who i think will go on

tampa bay over new york

montreal over boston

new jersey over philedelphia

toronto over ottawa

vancouver is not going all the way let alone winning the whole thing. last year was there best chance , they had smooth sailing all the way then they ran into js gigure.

I'll make only one sure prediction, Canucks will play at least four games against Calgary. Obviously I am cheering for the kNuckle heads!

Vancouver, of course, St. Louis, Detroit, Colorado, Tampa, Bay, Bosten, New Jersey and Ottawa. Gotta take a couple of upsets at least so Ottawa and St. Louis are my dogs.

Oops, New Jersey is an upset too but only by 1 point. Home ice and who's the favorite means very little come playoff time. It's who can pick the upsets that takes home the bacon.

well i was 5 for 8, i must say i was surprised colorado was able to turn around there poor performance right before the playoffs and that cujo got his game going for detroit, and broduer wasnt his normal self.

round two:

detroit vs calgary.

im picking detroit, i think calgary is just too banged up to win another series and if cujo keeps up his play this should be a short series.

san jose vs colorado.

im gonna pick SJ, the better of the two for goaltending although abiesher(sp) has played well, i just think he'll crack soon. nabakov is just awesome.

tamba bay vs montreal.

i dont know how injured kovalev is but hes been awesome , but im going to pick TB.

philadelphia vs toronto.

where did esche come from?? i thought they had burke who was faltering? i was surprised by phillys play, but im going with toronto, i think belfour can go all the way!!!

4 for 8. OUCH. I was pretty bad on my predictions
2nd round
Detroit over Calgary
Colorado over SJ
Tampa over Montreal
Toronto over Philly

These are my 2nd round picks. Pretty tough picks to make but I would love to see Calgary over Detroit but I dont think it will happen.

yeah i think calgarys way too banged up to get past the second round. kiprosuff(sp) would have to stand on his head, and iginla would have to play like he did on game 7, for the entire series!!!, personally i htink hes the best power forward in the league, but there weak in the supporting staff. must say though calgarys probably the hardest working bunch in the playoffs.
