Looking to replace the factory chrome Firehawk rims on my 1999 Trans Am Firehawk (the chrome is flaking, and the inside surfaces are badly pitted). Before ordering a new set from SLP in the U.S., I was wondering if anyone here knows if any local retailers sell SLP parts? There used to be a place in Calgary, but they seem to have gone out of business. I know about Zekes in Quebec, but maybe there are others?

Would even consider driving down to Washington or Oregon, BTW.

Where did you guys buy your Loudmouths, though the mail, or from a store? Thanks.

Fast toys in Winnipeg has some stuff. I can not remember if they sell wheels. fasttoys.net. checked and no such luck. They used too but not anymore.

I was considering new chrome firehawk wheels too, mine are silver clear-coated rims. SLP had a big sale on rims and tires last month Pat. I'd look around at custom chrome wheels before you make your choice. I can see serious competition between the firehawk's at the show n' shines this year. I think the only SLP dealer left is in New Jersey.

 

i was gonna work something out with slp, but the buy in is pretty high, ill see what i can do with dave and get back to you by the end of the week. if theres large amounts of intrest we can set up a group buy as a buy in.

My buddy used to work at Dennison and he was the one who got me all my SLP parts. He quit but he says he might still be able to get them. I think he might be bs'n me but I can check.

I thought I read somewhere that GM dealerships can get SLP stuff in. I don't know what the markup is, but probably pretty high considering what they charge for other stuff.

 

If the dealer doesnt mind going through the hassle, any GM should be able to order SLP parts. That's where I got mine. I also think that anywhere they sell GMPP you can get Corsa parts. I know they are officially liscenced by GM.

 

Hmm, interesting. I asked about ordering SLP parts through the parts counter at Barnes Wheaton GM, and was told that they could not do so. Seems like there is some inconsistency out there. I'll look into this some more, thanks for the tip.
