Has everyone pulled there spare tire and jack?

just curious if this is a smart move or not. anyhow.. i ripped that sumbitch out today.

since most of the weight is in the front, isnt it a bad idea trying to lighten up the rear of car?

i need 50/50 weight distrubition!

The spare is useless, the stock jack is useless, mine has been out for years

I just keep mine in. half a tank of gass with the spare in is probably the same as a full tank without.

What a waste, something else back there to start ratteling, no thanx lol plus its heavy & useless, if my front blows I can't put a spare in the front for 2 reasons, its illegal & second it won't fit my Baer brakes, then there is the rear wheels being 17X11 with 315 rubber, so looks like in most cases its just easiest to call BCAA.

Mine is out. Replaced it with spare tire in a can (for 17-inch wheels). Hope I never have to use it mind you.

Mine's still in there, but I wonder if the doughnut will fit over my Baer's...

Amit, relocate your battery to the trunk.

I've had mine out since the day I bought the car

I've had two flats since then (I work construction during the summer) and with the "spare in the can," I've never had a problem

Andy

PS: With the can stuff, you always need to have the tire professionally repaired at a later date. Plug it and patch it. The goo that the can stuff gets in there makes it VERY difficult to repair the tire because of cleaning it up. The tire shop might charge more because of that.

mines comming out so i can affix my amp in there...

is this tire in a can stuff any good, does it allow u x amount of kms to get to a tire shop to fix the leak, or will it ruin the tire after use?

thanks

If I had a spare in my trunk, there'd be no room for anything else.

When I go to the track, my trunk has enough room for 1 slick, jack, helmet, a few tools and minor racing goodies. In my back seat lies the other slick.

Second generation camaros are severly lacking in trunk space

I think it's a good idea to pull that heavy crap out of there that you probably will never use. Mine's still in but not for long. I was considering subs on each side but I'm just gonna start with the one in the driver's side cubby. The passenger side is a good place to hide a bottle and I'm not talkin booze.
