OBD2 Scanner for $189. Worth it?
OBD2 Scanner for $153. Worth it?
Hi gang,
I'm going to post this in LT1 and LS1 Tech since it applies to both.
I was thinking about getting a code reader, because sometimes my cut-out throws a P0400 EGR (low backpressure) code.
I found one online here, there are also others listed:
http://tools.batauto.com/index.php?c...on=show_detail
It seems like it would be a good thing to have, that way I wouldn't have to keep resetting the computer (and thereby causing it to re-learn everything) to clear the code.
I know about Autotap, but I don't have a laptop and it doesn't make sense to go out and spend $600 on a laptop and then another $250 on top for Autotap.
What do you guys think? Have you seen similiar products cheaper?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

J. C. Whitney has ODDII code readers for less. Look for the catalog with the discount coupon.
Look up the Actron and Autoxray sites, and read up on what they have. They also have links to vendors.
