Removing cam pin in one cam to install in another

Removing cam pin in one cam to install in another

the cam I have didn't come with a pin for the opti, the previous owner kept it, any hints on how to remove the pin in the old cam so I can install it in the new cam

As hard as they can sometimes be to get out, it would probably be easier to buy a new pin. A shop would probably use a slide hammer type tool to remove it. At home, you can try sticking the pin in a vice and pulling on the cam.

I just removed one and we put it in a vice with flat jaws and then spun the cam while tuging on it. It will never come out just pulling on it must turn cam slowly while pulling.

Just take it to a machine shop and pay them a few bucks to put a new one in and set it to the proper height. Much easier and very much worth the money.
