Valve stem seals...

I have a question about the valve stem seals on my car. Are they 11/32" and if so how are the CC 503-16 valve stem seals, they are teflon seals. Thinking I should replace them while I am in there and wanna make sure that its the 11/32" instead of the 3/8"

Thanks guys

The reason I ask about the comp cams ones is because I have a set lying around. So if they are decent I might as well use them to replace the ones I have now since I am doing a cam swap....

What did comp say when you called them? Have you called them? I heard they have good tech support. Check you part #'s . See if they match the ones recommended in this chart. Hope this helps.

They'll work if you cut the guides down to accept a seal that small

11/32 and 3/8 are diameters of the more common size of valves, not the diameter of the seal itself. If you have stock valves they will be 11/32" diameter. The outside diameter of the valve guide boss I believe, (from memory), is .538. If you have a set of seals for 11/32" valves for small block chevy they'll probably work. They need to be able to fit over the valve guide boss, which requires machining in many cases to accept certain "positive lock" type seals.

According to the above link they are actually the ones suggested....does that still mean I shouldn't use ones "this small"?
