No O2 sensor bungs on my longtubes?!?
I recently picked up a set of Ceramic Coated Hooker longtubes from Summit. I was getting ready to install them, when I noticed they don't have provisions for O2 sensors. A friend of mine got his hookers from Jet Hot and he had the O2 sensor bungs in the collectors. Am I supposed to have the fittings or are the hookers from Jet Hot just different? I know Hooker makes reducers that have the fittings, but I don't want to reduce my pipes down to 2 1/4" Do any of the y-pipes for longtubes have provisions for O2's?
Thanks alot

yeah, almost all of them do, usually you have to specify whether you want the long tubes with the o2 bungs welded in or not when ordering. You can pick up the bungs pretty cheap at summit i think, then you just need to get them welded in.
Hooker doesn't make their LT1 Long Tubes with O2 fittings in them to my knowledge. There previously was talk at Hooker to do this but I don't think they ever carried through with this. Why? I have no idea... I'd guess 99% of all LT1 Hooker Long tubes are going in cars that need O2 sensors!?!?
Anyway, the places that offer these headers with the O2 fittings installed will install the O2 fittings themselves prior to sending them out or prior to having them sent off for coating.
It kinda sucks that they are already coated but that is still OK. Some people would put the O2 sensor bungs in the y-pipe and get away with it. I wouldn't do this and instead grind away some of the coating and weld in the O2 bungs in the headers. Too bad the coating has to be messed up though
Here are some pics for reference for your welder...
