Might be in the market for a new tranny soon. I currently have a 4l60e.

What are you trying to say? Are you wanting to put in different tranny?

 

Yes I'm trying to find out a popular replacement for my 4l60e.

 

just build that one up.....you could probably do a 700R4 as well, thats about it without having to do big mods....

 

A popular replacement for the 4l60e is a 4l60e, unless you just hate automatics, then get the t56...Both are great trannies. Why would you want a different one unless you are running quite a bit more power?

 

I want relibility. If some one knows of a high performance rebuild kit let me know.

 

what do you have done to your car? The 4l60e is fine for every day use, you might put in a heavey duty rebuild kit but unless your all out drag racing the no reason to swap in something like a t400. just my .02

 

Mods: MAC headers,midwest 3200, Dhm cut-out, nitto 555rs,flowmaster,CAI. I plan on doing alot of draging this year. And i will put in a small cam if I don't like my times.

 

4l60e will do just fine. its only when you get to high rpms and big horespower when you start having problems.
