It includes the bellhousing, tranny, hydraulics, flywheel, pedal assembly, and pressure plate.

I'd need a clutch disk, shifter, and a shifter plate...

Anything else I'm missing?

Can I just have my OBD1 PCM in my A4 reporgrammed or would it be smarter to buy one that was out of an M6? Is programming any different from a 1993 as opposed to a '94-'97 T56?

Dont need a different PCM. Just have yours flashed with a file from a M6 PCM. If you already have some custom programming done to your PCM that will need to be tranferred to the M6 file before flashing the PCM.

The T56 I'm interested does NOT come with:

clutch fork or t-stud
shifter
clutch disk or alignment tool
pilot bearing
T56 tranny crossmember, tranny mount
exhaust mount, torque arm bracket, torque arm bushing
CAGS pigtail,
VSS pigtail (12101899),
reverse lockout pigtail (12101857),
reverse light pigtail (12085485)

How much does this stuff typically cost?

The small stuff can get pretty expensive, but you need not go all out on these things. If you scrounge around for a while you can probably come up with most of what you need at relatively good prices.

Clutch fork and t-stud I bought new. Hard to find.

Shifter you could probably go real cheap with a used stock one. Redroc Wrench has one of these. Put a short stick on it and you're good to go.

I've got an almost new stock clutch, pp, to bearing and alignment tool that I will part with pretty cheap.

Pilot bearing is really cheap

Cross member I don't know about.

You can re-use your stock tranny mount.

Don't know about cost on exhaust mount, torque arm bracket, torque arm bushing, either.

I've also got a nearly new clutch master cylinder and pressure line that I'll part with pretty cheap.

You don't need a CAGS pigtail, just disable it in the PCM.

The other three pigtails are rather pricey given what they are, but then it sure is nice to know that you've got the right ones. I paid about 15$ apiece for mine.
