i think its normal, especially if its only a little bit, if it looks real bad , then maybe its of a concern, but i doubt it.. its either burning too much fuel, or burning oil my first camaro burned oil , bad enough.. about 1 quart every week 1/2.. :/ and the inside of my exaust was black after 1 week lol, and i mean black where i scrape my finger inside it and it still looks just as dark and i cant see my finger any more If its that bad and you have a "new" or rebuilt motor.. somethings up

yeah my intake seal went bad so i had to get it re-sealed....this could cause that??
the buildup felt a little oily but i wasnt sure if that was a reason....whent i would rev the engine it put out a slight puff of black smoke...nothing big....but then i got it fixed and i dont think it happens anymore...now that its fixed just whats still in the pipes remains..
so could a bad intake seal cause and oily buildup in my exaust??

my car puffs some black smoke after I rev it. I even have a video of it doing that. Id say its perfectly normal.
